Catherine Klueber, Voice
Catherine Klueber received her bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace in music therapy with voice as her primary instrument. She has studied and performed classical, musical theatre, and sacred music. During her time at BW, Catherine won the Mel Hakola Competition for Academic and Vocal Excellence and also won the lead role in BW’s 2008 opera production, Handel’s Semele. Her degree recital covered a diverse range of repertoire spanning over 200 years.
Catherine has experience working with singers across the age spectrum from young children to teens and older adults. Her background in music therapy lends a unique perspective to her approach in guiding students in a growing understanding of their vocal instrument as part of the whole person. Catherine has worked in training and coaching new cantors and has assisted with children’s choirs. She recently presented a voice workshop on the Care and Nurturing of the Aging Voice at the Cleveland NPM Diocesan Musicians Retreat.
Catherine and her husband have been singing professionally at weddings and events across the northeast Ohio region since 2008. As a church musician she has sung in various church choirs and has been a regular cantor and soloist for over 20 years.
