Courtney Flynn, Flute
Courtney Flynn earned her bachelor’s in flute performance at Denison University and her master’s in flute performance at Cleveland State University. She studied with Carla Colon, Dr. Leslie Maaser, and Sean Gabriel.
As an instructor, Courtney teaches each student differently, focusing on each person’s strengths and learning styles. Lessons are relaxed but detail-oriented, with the goal of helping students develop a strong toolset to become skilled and self-sufficient musicians. Lesson material ranges from scale exercises and etudes to concertos and video game soundtracks. Students are welcome to bring anything they are enthusiastic about, as well as band and orchestra material.
Courtney played with the Cleveland Philharmonic for a number of years, and she has been teaching flute since 2017. Courtney has also performed with the True North Orchestra and the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra, in addition to having recorded flute and piccolo for other musical artists.
