Anastasia Rainbow
Coloratura Soprano Anastasia Rainbow received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Fisk University where she was a member of the Fisk Jubilee Singers. She received her Graduate Performance Diploma in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Opera from Longy School of Music of Bard College studying under Jayne West. She was a Big Blue Fellow with the Nashville Opera. She has sung in masterclasses with Laquita Mitchell, Adriana Zabala, Talise Trevigne and world renowned opera singer Denyce Graves.
Anastasia loves teaching private lessons to all ages, from adults to children as young as age 6. In Jackson, Tennessee she directed the children’s musical for Lane College’s STEM summer camp, and taught voice to Lane College’s incoming freshmen during the John Lennon Summer Boot Camp.
Anastasia has been selected as a soloist for numerous performances. Last season, she was soloist with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Ensemble in the “Symphony On-The Move” concert series, which toured the Jackson, Tennessee tri-state area. She was also a featured soloist with the RPM Voices of Providence Rhode Island Choir for its summer concert series. She had the supreme honor of singing for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama as a soloist with the Piney Woods School at the White House in Washington DC. In 2019, Anastasia was a finalist as a soloist in the Tennessee National Association of Teachers of Singer Competition.
